High Pro Media is the parent entity for a small portfolio of AI software products, a patent portfolio filed at the USPTO, and a working fiction and music catalog. Built and operated by Ben "Benzo" Marshall in Bixby, Oklahoma.
AI-augmented development tooling has compressed what a single person can design, build, and ship. High Pro Media exists to put that compression to work.
HPM is the parent entity. It holds the patent filings, the literary copyrights, and the music catalog, and it decides where time goes across the portfolio. Operating companies get spun out only when a venture earns one.
The approach is narrow on purpose: a small number of products, each shipped to a real app store for real users, with the underlying method filed at the USPTO before launch. Fewer bets, finished properly.
Each has its own thesis and timeline. The patent filings sit with the parent entity.
AI video creation and coaching platform for creators. Web app plus native iPhone and Android builds.
Point your camera at a mess and it sorts what to keep, donate, toss, and sell — then writes the resale listing for you.
Patent landscape analysis and claim drafting. Built in-house to originate the portfolio, and the tool that drafted its own application.
Hip-hop catalog and production. Four releases out, with a visual album cycle in production.
A multi-generational Oklahoma novel series spanning 1921 to the present. Long-horizon writing project.
HPM holds the patent filings, the trademarks, the literary copyrights, and the master recordings. Operating companies receive IP only by explicit assignment at a deal. The default is parent-level holding.
File the provisional before building the product. Take non-dilutive capital — grants, credits, and revenue — before equity. The cheapest version of a move gets tried first, and the portfolio absorbs the ones that do not work.
A filed application plus an app people can actually download is worth considerably more than the filing alone. Every venture here is expected to ship something real, not just describe it.
Periodic update across the portfolio — venture milestones, what shipped, and build-in-public notes on what worked and what didn't. Long-form email, low frequency, no upsells.
