ClutterCoach helps you declutter and resell your belongings. This policy explains what we collect and why. We do not sell your data and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
When you scan a space, your photos are sent to our servers and to our AI analysis provider (Anthropic) to identify items and classify them into keep / sell / donate / toss, and to draft resale listings. We use your photos to provide these features.
To estimate resale value we send item descriptions (not personal information) to the eBay pricing API to retrieve comparable asking prices.
When you are signed in, scene summaries, item classifications, your decisions, your inventory, and your AI-coach conversations (including the messages you send) are stored in our database (Supabase), tied to your account. The app does not read that record back: what you see in ClutterCoach is kept on the device you scanned with, so it does not appear on another device, or after you delete and reinstall the app.
Sign-in is currently available on iPhone and iPad only. On Android, and whenever you are signed out, your photos are still sent to our servers and on to Anthropic so the scan can be analyzed — but nothing from that scan is written to our database: no scene summary, item classification, decision, inventory or coach conversation. Those results are kept only on your device. Anything you choose to send us with the Report control is stored separately, as described below.
Sign in with Apple gives you a stable identity so your subscription and usage travel with you. Apple shares your name and email only on first sign-in, and only if you allow it. Your Apple identity token is verified on our server. Sign in with Apple is available on iPhone and iPad; the Android app currently has no sign-in, so it always runs signed out. Signed out does not mean offline — on Android your photos are still sent to our servers and on to Anthropic for analysis, exactly as they are on iPhone. What differs is storage: with no account to attach them to, your scans, your decisions and your coach conversations stay on your device and are not written to our database.
Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), depending on where you bought, and are managed through RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status, not your payment details.
Product recommendations link to retailer search pages — Amazon, Target, Walmart, Wayfair, Home Depot, IKEA and The Container Store. These may in future carry affiliate parameters, in which case we may earn a commission; that would never change your price. We share no personal information with those retailers — the link carries only the search terms.
Every screen that shows AI-written text has a Report control. When you use it we store the text you reported, the reason you picked, which screen it came from, and the app version — so a person can read it and act on it. If you are signed in, the report is linked to your account so we can follow up and so it is removed when you delete your account. If you are not signed in, it is stored without any identifier for you. The report record itself does not contain your IP address. But when a report is filed without a verified Apple sign-in — which is every report from the Android app and the web, and from iPhone or iPad whenever you are signed out — your IP address is stored separately and unhashed as a rate-limiting key, labelled with the endpoint it came from and stamped with the time. We key rate limits that way on every AI endpoint, not only reporting, and those rate-limiting records are not currently deleted on a schedule.
You can delete the record we hold for you at any time. Use Delete account in the app, or visit cluttercoach.app/delete-data. Deletion permanently removes your scan results, item classifications, decisions, inventory, AI-coach transcripts, and any AI-response reports you filed while signed in. Some records are not erased: your subscriber record at RevenueCat, and the purchase records Apple and Google keep, which are held as accounting records; and rate-limiting counters keyed to your account id, which record which of our endpoints you called and when — those are kept to prevent abuse and are not currently on an automatic expiry schedule. Anything held only on your device is removed when you delete the app.
ClutterCoach is rated 4+ but is intended for adults managing a household. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, email support@cluttercoach.app and we will delete it.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
cluttercoach.app uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies and stores nothing that identifies you; the app itself sends no analytics events.
